WHAT TO EXPECT

Our cabins are located on 170+ wooded acres of private property on a gravel township road in Monroe County, Beallsville, OH. Private gravel drives lead to each cabin, and no other cabins or homes are visible. Winter weather may be a factor during your stay, as we are open year round. We do have hills and winding terrain in the area. Gravel drives are well maintained, however we highly recommend 4x4 transportation during heavy snow months. No refunds due to road conditions.

Our cabins are secluded but still minutes from town. A convenience store, post office, bank, and diners are located in Beallsville.

Our cabins are fully furnished and include coffee maker, toaster, can opener, kitchen towels, dishes, utensils, and cookware for meal preparation.

Linens, bath towels, toilet tissue, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, dish soap, and hand soap are provided for your convenience.

Our cabins include a washer and dryer, detergent is NOT provided.

The following is a sample list of items you may want to bring with you:

  • Food/Coffee
  • Charcoal for the outdoor grill
  • Shower soap, shampoo, and personal toiletries.
  • Detergent
  • Bug repellent
  • Walking shoes or boots for hiking
  • Binoculars
  • Swimsuit for hot tub
  • Towels for Hot Tub ( Spa robes and towels are provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own.)

Telephone/Television
Our cabins are not equipped with land line telephones, Internet access, or televisions; however cell phone service is available.We have a variety of games, books, magazines and a radio/CD player for guests to enjoy.

Bedding
Our beds have high quality comfortable mattresses, waterproof mattress covers, and standard pillows with waterproof covers. Linens are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own pillows/blankets if preferred.

Water
Our cabins have county water which is safe for drinking, but guests may prefer to bring their own bottled water.

Wildlife
Many wild animals live in the woods surrounding our cabins.
Deer, turkey, raccoons, skunks, fox and coyote are frequently seen.

DO NOT APPROACH OR FEED WILDLIFE.

DO NOT LEAVE FOOD ON DECKS OR PORCHES OVERNIGHT AS THIS MAY ATTRACT UNINVITED GUESTS.

Bugs
Please remember that you are staying in a cabin in the woods, there WILL BE BUGS.
You will see flies, spiders, beetles and various types of other insects.
There will be no refunds given due to the presence of these insects.

Firewood
Firewood is provided for our guests and is stacked in the fire pit area. Firewood can only be burned in the existing fire pits located at each cabin. Help is available if you need assistance in making a campfire.

Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us.
We make no unannounced cabin visits or enter your cabin while you are out, You will be notified if we need to enter your cabin for a maintenance issue or to treat the hot tub.
